This arrangement was originally written for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in 1985 and has been extensively programmed on Holiday programs throughout the United States and in Europe. The original version was scored for SATB chorus and large orchestra [RBM-102]. No soloists.

The following six carols appear, without interruption, in this manner:

  • O Come, O Come Emanuel (Latin / English)
  • The Holly and the Ivy
  • God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen
