I Wonder As I Wander
RBM-018
Contralto Solo, SATB chorus with Piano or Orchestral Accompaniment

&nbps;
This arrangement first appeared as the 5th movement in a large array of Christmas carols, which was written in 1988 at the request of the Grand Rapids Symphony and Chorus. Although originally scored for contralto solo and SATB chorus, a baritone soloist, singing an octave lower than written may be substituted. Additionally, the work may be performed by omitting the choral voices entirely, in which case a solo contralto or baritone is to sing throughout, over the existing orchestration. (In performances utilizing a single vocalist, during the 3rd verse the soloist is to sing the choral soprano melody in the appropriate octave).

The accompaniment for this arrangement has also been transcribed for wind ensemble by the arranger [RBM-248]; this version is available for purchase from the distributor.

( dur: 5:00″ )

The original orchestration (3333 / 4000, 2 perc, hp, stgs) may be obtained on a rental-only basis from the rental agent: ECS Publishing.
