SATB Chorus with Brass Quintet and Organ Accompaniment

Commemoration Anthem was composed for the Grace United Methodist Church of Austin, TX in celebration of the re-dedication of their church building in the late 1990s. The anthem falls into the following general structure:

I. Opening Brass Fanfare
II. Choral hymn: O, For a Thousand Tongues to Sing (Wesley-Glaser ~ vs. 1)
III. Organ-Brass Interlude, modulating to:
IV. Choral hymn: Amazing Grace (Newton-traditional ~ vs. 3)
V. Modulation: Amazing Grace (vs. 6, with choral countermelody)
VI. Choral hymn: In Christ There Is No East or West (Oxenham – Reinagle, vs. 1 & 2)
