As an undergraduate student at The University of Texas, the arranger was asked to write a stand-alone, a cappella arrangement of the school Alma Mater for performance at various functions where a piano-accompanied version would have been cumbersome or impossible. The printed version of the traditional Texas song was created to that purpose, and is here offered for choruses who would like to present this familiar tune to their audiences.
