SSAA chorus with multiple accompanimentsThis composition was written for the New York Pops Orchestra in 1990 and has subsequently been extensively programmed by professional and non-professional musical ensembles in a variety of performance venues and concert situations. It is a rhythmic, yet lyrical, setting of the liturgical Latin text and has been used with much success on both sacred and secular programs. This work was originally scored for SATB chorus and large orchestra. No soloists. The original version of this work has been recorded by the Boston Pops Orchestra, Keith Lockhart conducting, on their 1999 CD release Holiday Pops, BMG 9026-63252-2. A recording of this piece is also included on the Kodanja Records A FEAST OF CAROLS album, conducted by the composer. ( dur: 7″ ) SATB [RBM-101] and TTBB [RBM-101a] voicings are also available, which may be performed using any of the available accompaniments. An Organ Solo Version [RBM-237]is also available.
