This setting of the well-known Christian hymn was written for the memorial service of a musical friend of the arranger. An SATB choral version [RBM-001] of the work, with piano accompaniment, was later requested for a special occasion, and this resulting choral work was also subsequently orchestrated for medium-sized orchestra (woodwinds and brass in pairs [no tuba], percussion, harp and strings).

This arrangement is also available for alto or baritone solo voice [RBM-001b], pitched a minor-third below the high-voice setting (in C major).

The full orchestration is only available in the original key (E-flat major).
