TTBB Chorus with Piano or Large Orchestra or Wind Ensemble, RBM-119a

Large orchestral and Wind Ensemble accompaniment, rental

This arrangement was created for use in the 1999 Dallas Symphony Christmas Pops concerts. It consists of 4 well-known secular Christmas songs, designed to be performed without pause. After a brief orchestra introduction, the carols appear as follows:

  • Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town
  • Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer
  • Frosty, the Snowman
  • Jingle Bells

This piece was originally scored for SATB chorus (no soloists) [RBM-119] and large orchestra (3333 4331 timp 3 perc hp stgs), while this version is re-voiced for TTBB chorus.

This TTBB arrangement has been recorded by the arranger, conducting the National Symphony of London and the Tallis Chamber Choir. This recording appears on the 2002 Kodanja Records release A Feast of Carols.

An additional interpretation of the mixed-chorus arrangement also appears by the Dallas Symphony and Chorus – Andrew Litton, conducting – on Delos release: Dallas Christmas Gala. This version contains one brief, additional passage comprising “Here Comes Santa Claus” which is not included in the printed version. Negotiations to obtain a print license for this piece of music from the copyright controller were unsuccessful.
